WEDNESDAY 30 NOVEMBER – Outfit: V-neck t-shirt – Primark UK (a trendy basics store in England in the price range of Mr Price), Grey Belt – Colleen Eitzen (The Space), Tapered leg dark denim low crotch – Levi’s, Shoes – All Stars, Watch – Q&Q, Necklace – Thomas Sabo, and Cassette/Tape wallet – Argentina. Agenda: Fittings for the Lisof fashion show on Sunday, meeting up with friends for a relaxed afternoon, and then a dinner. Side Note: This has been my attempt at producing a Movember; valiant as it was, all I have to show for it is a load of bum fluff. Oh well I tried, shave first thing tomorrow morning.

TUESDAY 29 November Outfit: T-Shirt – Country Road, Belt – Vintage, Trousers – Zara UK, Shoes – Filla Rossi (Europa Art), Spectacles – Paul Smith (Optik Melrose) Agenda: It’s a hot but overcast day today in Jo’burg – I have a newspaper interview, a documentary shoot, a fitting, a meeting, and a dinner. Before you know it, the day just passes you by, so I need to wear something that is is suitable for all my meetings and if I need to, I can just add a jacket or jersey.
MONDAY 28 NOVEMBER Oufit: ‘T-shirt – Quiksilver Premium, Cardigan – TopMan (TopShop), Belt – Urban Degree, Drop Crotch Ribbed Pants – JX (Edgars), Boat Shoes – Country Road.’ Agenda: ‘I’ve got a chilled Monday with three fittings to be done, so I need to wear simple clothes that I feel relaxed in and are easy to take off and put on quickly.’
MONDAY 5 DECEMBER – Outfit: Brown Leather Jacket – Vintage (Flea Market), Vest – Country Road, Watch – Spitfire, Spectacles – Tom Ford, Duffel Bag – Chapel (www.chapelgoods.co.za), Jeans – Adidas Originals, High Tops – Ransoms by Adidas Originals Agenda: Today’s quite gloomy here in Jo’burg. I have a day full of shoots and hanging out with my friends who are up from Cape Town, so I just want to be comfortable.
THURSDAY 1 DECEMBER – Outfit: Shirt – Country Road, Chinos – Zara UK, Shoes – Paul Smith UK, Spectacles – Paul Smith (Optik Melrose Arch). It’s nice to play around with your clothes and wear them unconventionally; you learn what works for you and what doesn’t. With all that’s on the agenda for today, this ensemble is something I feel comfortable in.
FRIDAY 2 DECEMBER – Outfit: Shirt – Arrow (Pristine Whites), Skinny Tie – Markham, Belt – Vintage, Jeans – Guess, Shoes – All Star (Leather and Metal), Watch – Hugo Boss, Jacket – Zara Spain, Spectacles – Paul Smith (Optik Melrose Arch). Agenda: Today I have meetings, a presentation, and a dinner party. Essentially one would need to be formal, but it’s Friday! You want to be as casual as possible, yet appropriate for each commitment, so this is exactly what works for me: it’s functional, flexible, and I can dress it up and down how I like.
