The world champion Proteas Test side will feature in eight Test matches on home soil this coming year, including two bumper three-match series against Australia and England.
Temba Bavuma’s Test champions have yet to play at home since raising the WTC trophy at Lord’s last June after the Men’s 2025/25 home international season consisted of just three T20Is against West Indies.
Australia, who were defeated by the Proteas in London, arrive on South Africa shores in September for a two-format tour. The Proteas will face the Aussies in three ODI’s from 24 - 30 September, which includes the Pink ODI at the Wanderers on September 27, before the three Test matches commence on October 9.
All three Test matches will be played along the coast with Kingsmead (October 9 - 13) in Durban hosting the series opener before the teams travel down to Gqeberha for the second Test at St George’s Park (October 18-22).
The final Test will be played at Newlands (October 27 - 31) with the Aussies playing their first Test in Cape Town since the infamous ‘Sandpapergate’ scandal there in 2018.
The Proteas will then welcome Bangladesh for an all-format tour, including two Test matches, three ODIs and three T20Is.
Both Test matches will be played at the highveld venues of the Wanderers (Nov 15 - 19) and Centurion (Nov 23 - 27) before the white-ball leg tour commences.
The international summer then reaches its peak with a three-match Test series against England. The first Test gets underway on December 17 at the Wanderers Stadium, before the traditional Boxing Day Test returns to SuperSport Park in Centurion ahead of the iconic New Year’s Test at Newlands Cricket Ground.
The season concludes with a three-match ODI series against England, beginning at Boland Park in Paarl on January 10, with Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein hosting the remaining two ODIs on January 12 and 15.
The Betway SA20 Season 5 kickoff will move to a later date in January to accommodate the international fixtures.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricket nations in Australia, Bangladesh and England. These tours will undoubtedly draw fans from across the country to our stadiums. We anticipate a vibrant and competitive summer that celebrates the very best of international cricket in South Africa,” CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said.
“Next season carries significant importance for both our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle, including a hard-fought 1-1 series draw against Pakistan and an impressive 2-0 victory over India, and it is important that we continue to build on that momentum and strengthen our position on the WTC table.
“On the white-ball front, our focus remains firmly on building towards hosting the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. Every ODI series from here forms part of our prepara on for that global event, not only as proud hosts, but as a team determined to compete strongly on home soil.”
