CRICKET South Africa (CSA) has confirmed an action-packed home season for the Proteas Men’s team, with Test cricket and One-Day Internationals (ODIs) taking centre stage as South Africa prepares to host Australia, Bangladesh, and England.
The summer kicks off with a multi-format tour against Australia. The three-match ODI series begins at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on 24 September, followed by the annual Pink Day fixture at DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on 27 September. The series concludes at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on 30 September.
South Africa, reigning ICC World Test Champions, will then defend their WTC title in a three-match Test series. The first Test returns to Durban from 9 to 13 October, with St George’s Park in Gqeberha hosting the second from 18 to 22 October.
The series finale takes place at World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town from 27 to 31 October.
The Proteas will then host Bangladesh for an all-format tour. Test cricket takes priority with matches at DP World Wanderers Stadium (15-19 November) and SuperSport Park, Centurion (23-27 November).
The ODI leg follows in East London, Gqeberha, and Cape Town from 1 to 7 December, while the T20I series will be staged across Kimberley, Benoni, and Centurion from 10 to 13 December.
Kimberley Oval, an ICC-accredited venue, will host the first T20I following maintenance work.
The summer peaks with a three-match Test series against England, beginning at DP World Wanderers Stadium on 17 December. SuperSport Park hosts the traditional Boxing Day Test, with the New Year’s Test taking place at Newlands in Cape Town.
The season concludes with a three-match ODI series against England, starting at Boland Park in Paarl on 10 January, followed by two matches at Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein. The planned T20I series against England has been removed from the calendar due to scheduling conflicts, with CSA exploring options to reschedule.
CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki expressed excitement about the upcoming season: “We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricketing nations. These tours will draw fans from across the country to our stadiums and promise a vibrant and competitive summer.”
He added, “Next season carries significant importance for both our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle and aim to continue building momentum. Our white-ball focus remains on preparing for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027, with each ODI series an important step in that journey.”
