THE 053 FUTURE STARS Youth Tournament Easter Edition is set to return to Warrenton this April, with organisers officially opening team entries for what promises to be a competitive weekend of youth football.
Scheduled for April 4 and 5 at Warrenton Stadium, the 2026 edition will once again bring together emerging talent from across the region in two boys’ divisions: Under-13 and Under-17.
Kick-off is set for 8am on both days, with matches running until late.
The Under-17 competition will follow a Top 8 knockout format and is open to players born in 2009 or later. Teams in this division will compete over two days for prize money and medals.
The winners will receive R8,000, a trophy and gold medals. Second place earns R4,000 and silver medals, while third place takes home R2,000 and bronze medals. The affiliation fee for Under-17 teams is R1,500.
The Under-13 division, open to players born in 2013 or later, will be played in a Top 6 round-robin format and will take place over one day.
The winning Under-13 team will receive a full kit, a trophy and medals, while second place will earn silver medals. The affiliation fee for this division is R550 per team.
Across both age groups, individual awards will recognise Player of the Tournament, Top Goalscorer and Goal of the Tournament.
Organisers have confirmed that professional scouts will be in attendance, offering young players an additional opportunity to showcase their ability in a structured tournament environment.
With limited entries available and places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, teams are encouraged to secure their spots early. Only paid deposits will guarantee participation.
The entry deadline is March 15, 2026.
Teams can register by contacting the organisers via WhatsApp on 063 725 1158. Coaches are required to request and complete the official entry form, submit team details and pay the relevant affiliation fee. Banking details are provided upon request.
Organisers have indicated that changes may occur, but confirmed that deposits will secure a place in the competition.
With prize incentives, structured competition formats and scouts in attendance, the 053 Future Stars Youth Tournament Easter Edition is shaping up to be a key date on the youth football calendar in Warrenton this April.
