The Kimberley Diamonds weekly social darts league produced an evening of top quality darts on Wednesday, with every team contributing to an entertaining and competitive night of action.
Several individual performances stood out, with Bradley Pillay and Loraine Buckley recording the most 100s in the men’s and women’s sections, respectively. Donovan Pillay impressed with the highest close of the night, finishing on a superb 112, while Christiaan delighted spectators by landing a maximum 180.
In the team results, Viceroy 1 secured a convincing 9-legs-to-4 victory over Hotshots 2. The Mustangs also showed their strength on the oche, proving too strong for The Fantastic 4 with an identical 9 legs to 4 win. Local Legends bounced back well from last week’s disappointment, correcting their mistakes and claiming a 9 legs to 4 victory over Blue Thunder.
The highlight of the evening was the closely contested clash between Hotshots 1 and Viceroy 2. Both teams fought hard for every point, and the match ultimately came down to the decisive team game. Under intense pressure and after several missed darts on both sides, Bradley Pillay held his nerve to pin double one, sealing a dramatic 7–6 win for Viceroy 2 and bringing a thrilling night of darts to a memorable close.
