The 2025 Kimberley Diamond Cup showcased world-class skateboarding, international competitors, and thrilling FMX motocross, with Karina, Mohau, Ora, and Jeff taking top honours in an electrifying, high-energy weekend.

THE DIAMOND City of Kimberley delivered a spectacular weekend of extreme sport as the 2025 Diamond and Dorings Kimberley Diamond Cup Skateboarding Championships wrapped up on Saturday night, leaving crowds buzzing with adrenaline, global culture, and impressive displays of skill on and off the ramps.

The two-day festival transformed the Kimberley Skate Plaza into a vibrant melting pot of talent, drawing athletes from across South Africa, America, England, Austria, Portugal, Thailand, and neighbouring African nations.

Spectators were treated to world class skateboarding, a high energy freestyle motocross (FMX) show, live entertainment, and a spirit of community that defined the event.

The Motocross FMX put up a show for the spectators and proved to be a crowd favourite.

From the moment skaters rolled in on Friday afternoon, the atmosphere was supercharged with excitement. Families, fans, and seasoned supporters packed the stands, cheering with every landing, fall, comeback, and victory.

The FMX motocross riders added to the excitement with breathtaking stunts, launching skyward in a show of flips, whips, and fearless airtime that had the crowd erupting every time engines roared back to life.

On the competition side, the finals showcased emerging homegrown talent as well as seasoned international competitors, proving how much the sport has grown in the Northern Cape and South Africa.

The quality of skateboarding was clearly on par as skaters from across the country and beyond showed off their skills.

With roaring bikes, rolling boards, vibrant supporters, and the iconic Kimberley sunset as the backdrop, the 2025 Diamonds and Dorings Kimberley Diamond Cup ended not only as a championship but also as a celebration of youth, talent, diversity, and adrenaline.

Kimberley once again proved it has the vibe, the facilities, and the passion to host world class extreme sport events, and the athletes delivered a weekend that spectators will be talking about long after the ramps cool down.
