Dancers from the Noleen Andrews School of Dance once again proved that hard work and passion lead to success when they represented the province at the annual South African Irish Dance Championships held in Gauteng from October 3 to 5.
Competing against some of the best Irish dancers in the country and being judged by three international adjudicators, the team delivered outstanding performances that earned them a string of impressive results.
The talented group brought home three championship trophies, along with 14 gold, 14 silver, and 11 bronze medals, plus 12 fourth places and eight fifth places, an incredible haul that reflects months of dedication and countless hours of training.
Behind their success is the tireless effort and commitment of coach Noleen Andrews, a qualified Irish dance instructor whose expertise and passion have inspired her students to reach new heights. Andrews, who has spent years perfecting both her teaching and dancing craft, ensures that every student receives the guidance, discipline, and encouragement they need to excel.
“I am really proud of the girls for what they have achieved,” said Andrews. “Bringing home all these medals and trophies just shows how hard they worked, and it all paid off.”
