KIMBERLEY-born Balepile Leruo Majosi has been steadily establishing himself in the cricketing ranks.
The young batsman was named Senior Batsman of the Year award at St Patrick’s Christian Brothers College’s 2024 prize-giving ceremony; a fitting reward for hard work and dedication that he’s been applying in his game.
Even today, he considers winning this award one of his proudest achievements.
Balepile was born in Kimberley and attended St Patrick’s CBC, where his love for cricket first began even in primary school. In fact, he loves the game so much that he even dreams of playing at the iconic home of cricket – Lord’s Cricket Ground in England.
Currently studying and playing cricket at Sol Plaatje University, Balepile continues to grow both on and off the field. Known for his funny, yet bold, and disciplined personality, he says that he starts each game day by listening to his favourite playlist to calm his nerves and find his rhythm.
Balepile adds that his journey at SPU has been incredible so far, and he’s determined to make an impact both for his team and in the cricket world – promising that this won’t be the last time Kimberley sees his name in the papers.
