Jack Parow has dropped an explosive new fight anthem titled “Dis DDP”, created specifically to ignite passion and rally unwavering support behind South African MMA powerhouse Dricus ‘Stillknocks’ du Plessis as he prepares for one of the biggest battles of his career this weekend.
More than just a song, “Dis DDP” pulses with raw energy and unapologetic pride, serving as a battle cry from a nation united behind its champion.
As anticipation builds for the highly anticipated fight, this anthem is poised to become the soundtrack of victory and resilience for Du Plessis and his growing brigade of fans.
Taking to Instagram, Parow shared his excitement: “ICYMI - my buddy @lokirothman and I recently decided to make a NEW FIGHT ANTHEM track for our South African CHAMP - @dricusduplessis ahead of his fight this weekend, and BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM.
"So, to show extra spirit and support - GO stream the track, save it to your Spotify playlists, and show it to your family and friends who KNOW WHAT WE KNOW!”
Demonstrating his commitment beyond music, Parow is also travelling to Chicago to personally stand by Du Plessis for this crucial event.
The track was created in collaboration with longtime partner Loki Rothman.
Parow explained, “I am so amped for this fight and to go to my first UFC fight with our champ, Dricus, who will be defending his title this upcoming weekend. It’s going to be massive, so Loki Rothman and I got so excited we couldn’t help but write this tune!”
The stakes could not be higher. In the headline bout of UFC 319 at Chicago’s United Center, Du Plessis is set to defend his UFC world middleweight title against the undefeated Russian contender, Khamzat Chimaev.
This will be Du Plessis’ first fight since his impressive unanimous decision win over Sean Strickland at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia, earlier this year in February.
The fight is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, and will be broadcast live at 4am South African time on Sunday.
Facing Chimaev represents Du Plessis’ toughest challenge since capturing the championship belt from Strickland in January last year.
Since then, he has successfully defended his title against formidable opponents, including Israel Adesanya and Strickland, cementing his status as a fan favourite not only in SA but across the global UFC community.
∎ “Dis DDP” is now available on all major streaming platforms, ready to energise and unite supporters as Du Plessis gears up for this defining moment in his career.
