Kommetjie surfer crowned under-18 SA champion

Kommetjie’s Simon Winter on his way to winning the boys’ under-18 division at the SA Junior Surf Championship held in Jeffrey's Bay.

Simon Winter, from Kommetjie and a Grade 11 pupil at Fish Hoek High School, won the boys’ under-18 division at the SA Junior Surf Championship held in Jeffrey's Bay during the holidays. Last year Cape Town Surf Riders (previously WP) won the event but this year they came second to Buffalo City, missing the overall title by a mere fraction.
