Orania gearing up for sports tournament

ORANIA is gearing up for a bumper sports tournament from March 21 to 23, when 280 players and 80 officials are expected to take part in the Under-23 Bokkietoernooi.

The CEO of the tournament, Pastor Peter Stans, said six unions are set to take part in the woemahokkie that will be held for the first time, with AfriForum as the main sponsor of the event.

“We will host Sevens rugby and netball matches. Prize-giving will be held on March 23. The annual Miss Sprankelbokkie will be crowned during the event, followed by a sokkie,” said Stans.

He added that there would be plenty of entertainment, including the traditional braai for players and teams to get to know each other around the fire.
