Diamantveld High School and the Kimberley Harriers Running Club are joining forces to host the Mandela Day 4-Kilometre Run and Fun Walk on Tuesday, July 18.
This event aims to support child welfare and Destiny House, organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children in Kimberley.
The run and fun walk will commence at 5pm, starting from Diamantveld High School’s Monument Gate, and participants are encouraged to arrive early for registration, which opens at 4.30pm. The event is open to all members of the community and is free of charge.
However, generous donations are strongly encouraged and would be appreciated.
The organisers have provided a list of items that can be donated to benefit those in need. These items include winter clothing, especially for children, blankets, canned food, non-perishable foods, toiletries, and cash donations.
The contributions will be distributed to local charities working tirelessly to support vulnerable children in the area.
By participating in this run and fun walk, individuals can make a tangible difference in the lives of children in Kimberley.
