When a woman arrived at her 84-year-old father's Camps Bay home on Tuesday, she found him dead, his hands and feet tied up, police said.
Spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said the grim discovery was made at about 1pm in Francolin Road.
"According to reports, the victim’s daughter arrived at his place of residence when she discovered his body with his hands and feet tied up," Twigg said.
According to Twigg, there was no sign of forced entry.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and arrests are yet to be made."
He said a murder docket was under investigation.
No other official information was immediately available.
