A very lucky Lotto player enters the new year as a multimillionaire having won R65 million in the Lotto draw on New Year's Eve.
According to the draw results on the National Lottery website, the winning numbers in Wednesday's draw were 4, 5, 10, 16, 22, 45 with the bonus ball of 25.
There was one jackpot winner who matched all six numbers and won a sum of R65,186,997.40.
There were three people who matched five numbers and had the bonus ball and won a sum of R25,844.90, while 34 people matched five numbers and will receive R3,547.40.
National lottery operator Ithuba is yet to release more results about the winner.
The next Lotto draw is on January 3.
There were significant windfalls for several South Africans last year, with one of the biggest jackpots being the R163 million that was won by a Western Cape father in October.
