Mzansi is making its voice heard, this time as an old petition to deport Elon Musk out of the United States and 'return' him to South Africa has once again made headlines.

Launched by John Visci back in March, the petition is calling for the billionaire's naturalised US citizenship to be revoked.

Already sitting with just over 6,500 signatures, Visci spelled out his reasons for wanting the 54-year-old businessman and entrepreneur to be booted out from the US.

"I, along with countless other concerned American citizens, feel deeply distressed by the increasing influence of corporate leaders in our political landscape. We specifically point to Elon Musk, a naturalized US citizen from South Africa, who we feel has exerted an imbalanced and potentially corrupting influence," Visci said.

He added that while Musk's entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to the tech industry are admired, his meddling in political affairs is disturbing and causing an imbalance of power in the country.

Visci further stated that Musk's net worth could unduly influence political decisions.

Musk was born in Pretoria and, according to public records, became a naturalised US citizen in 2002. His mother was born in Canada.

Meanwhile, responding to the petition, some Netizens said SA does not operate a return policy; therefore, Musk can stay in the US.

Others stated that they did not want Musk back in SA.
