Fans of Tom Holland and the "Spider-Man" franchise got a scare this weekend when news broke that the actor was injured while filming "Spider-Man: Brand New Day".

According to "Rolling Stone", Holland sustained a mild concussion on Friday, September 19, after striking his head during a fall on set. He will take a short break from filming “out of an abundance of caution”.

The mishap happened during a scene of action. The "UK Sun" claimed that a stunt double was also admitted to the hospital, but further sources indicated that Holland was the only one impacted while filming the fourth "Spider-Man" movie, which started in August.

Despite the concussion, he was well enough to attend a charity event with his fiancée, Zendaya, over the weekend, though the publication noted he “left early after feeling ill.”

In a video released by Sony and shared by "Variety" during filming, Holland spoke about stepping into the "Spider-Man" suit again,

“It’s day one, my fourth ever day one on 'Spider-Man'. It feels different this time, somehow. It’s also the first time we ever had fans on set day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them. We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just going to do my best.”

The UK Sun reported that Holland “cracked his head in a fall,” although he is expected to resume shooting within a few days.

Now, his words seem even more meaningful as fans hope for his safe return to the role that made him famous around the world.

The "UK Sun" reported that Holland “cracked his head in a fall” but should be back on set within a few days. His father suggested he may rest longer, but according to online reports on the highly anticipated Marvel film, it will continue, and Holland’s injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

For someone as active as Holland, who often does his own stunts, this incident shows how tough superhero movies can be to make.

Even a mild concussion needs to be watched closely, and Holland’s choice to take a break shows that both he and the studio are putting health and safety first.
