The trial of five men accused of killing Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane, has been set for next year.
The suspects, Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, face a raft of charges including conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder and firearm and ammunition-related charges.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in KwaZulu-Natal, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, said the case was previously postponed to allow for the State and defense to address further pre-trial issues and for the appointment of a judge for trial.
"The trial dates are July 20 - August 21, 2026 and October 5 - November 6, 2026," she said.
In February 2023, Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed outside a restaurant on Florida Road.
