A Rustenburg woman has claimed the R5.2million Lotto Plus 2 jackpot.
The National Lottery Ithuba said the winner spent R40 on her winning ticket, which she purchased at the Astron Klopper Street in Rustenburg.
The win was from the February 26, 2025 draw.
The woman described this windfall as a dream come true.
"I play the same numbers every day across various National Lottery games, and when I saw that I had won, I froze in shock," the winner told Ithuba.
"I couldn't believe that my persistence and faith had finally paid off."
She said the money would not only help her, but also help her family.
She intends paying the university fees of her niece.
"This will enable her to pursue her dreams without the anxiety and stress of tuition fees.
"I'm an avid church goer, and as part of my way of giving back to the community, I will be donating some of my winnings to my church."
She concluded by saying that she was grateful she won so that she can make a difference in the lives of those around her.
Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza said: "We're beyond delighted for our winner, she'll now be able to give back to her community as she's always desired, and we wish her, her niece, and her church community all the best.
"This amazing win is a reminder that the National Lottery is more than just a game – it's a chance to change lives and create a better future for individuals and communities."
