A HIGH-intensity police operation in Roodepan led to the arrest of 20 wanted suspects who had been dodging justice for various crimes, including assault and theft.
Led by Captain Allistair Slambert, detectives from the Roodepan police station launched a tracing operation on February 6 to track down individuals who had been evading court appearances and ignoring court orders.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam, the suspects were wanted for various crimes, including assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), common assault, theft, and theft out of a motor vehicle.
Sam said that all 20 suspects were located and arrested at their residences in Roodepan, Kimberley, and they will now face the consequences of their actions.
The arrested individuals were due to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on February 7.
