MEMBERS of the De Aar SAPS Stock Theft and Endangered Species unit recovered 56 stolen Merino sheep valued at R168,000 in Loxton.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said on Wednesday that no arrests had been made at this stage.
“An enquiry docket has been registered after the owner [of the sheep] laid a complaint early last week regarding more than 56 Merino sheep that were stolen from his farm,” said Tawana.
“Police investigations continue,” he added.
