New provincial head of Crime Investigation Services appointed

The provincial commissioner of the SAPS in the Northern Cape, Lieutenant-General Koliswa Otola, on Monday announced the appointment of Brigadier Lindikhaya Lamoen as the new provincial head of Crime Investigation Services.

THE PROVINCIAL commissioner of the SAPS in the Northern Cape, Lieutenant-General Koliswa Otola, on Monday announced the appointment of Brigadier Lindikhaya Lamoen as the new provincial head of Crime Investigation Services.

The announcement was made at the provincial office of the SAPS in Kimberley where Otola was accompanied by two of her deputies, Major-General Henriette de Waal and Major-General Luntu Ngubelanga.

The two conferred the new epaulettes to Lamoen in the presence of senior managers of the Province.

Lamoen, who joined the SAPS in 1994, has a wealth of experience in policing and the detective environment.

He holds a National Diploma and a Baccalaureus Technologiae Degree in the field of Policing.

He has also attended and is qualified in a number of courses that were presented by the SAPS.

Lamoen’s appointment is effective from November 1, 2023, and he will oversee the functioning of the detective service throughout the Northern Cape.

His appointment will also serve as a great inspiration for many members within the organisation and will surely boost the great work done by the detectives.

He will also be in a position to share his knowledge and experience with his juniors and external role-players in the detective environment.
