THE SAPS in the Northern Cape is offering a monetary reward for information that can lead to finding five-year-old Le-Virno van Wyk, who went missing almost seven months ago.

Upington police spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela said the young boy was last seen playing near a railway line near Skierlik informal settlement in Upington with friends on May 31, before his disappearance.

“A search operation was launched in the area, with no luck,” said Masegela. “A monetary cash reward has been offered for positive information that may lead to locating him.”

Masegela requested anyone with information that could assist the police to contact the SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit commander, Captain Koos van den Heever, on 082 302 0442 or alternatively the investigating officer, Sergeant Lebogang Mokwene, on 082 330 4478.

“All information will be treated with the strictest of confidence. The investigation continues.”
