KEIMOES SAPS Crime Prevention unit members, together with the Upington Public Order Police and the K9 unit, arrested three suspects for being in possession of drugs.
Upington police spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela said the police members conducted an operation in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the Keimoes area after they obtained search warrants to search three houses.
“Three suspects, aged 29, 38 and 47 years old, were arrested for possession of drugs including dagga, tik and mandrax with an estimated street value of R36,730.”
Masegela said that the suspects were in custody and were expected to appear in court soon.
The acting district commissioner of ZF Mgcawu, Colonel Peet Coetzee, commended the members who executed the operation and encouraged the community to report criminal activities.
