EUREKA Primary School has once again proven that hard work, dedication, and a committed teaching staff can deliver outstanding academic results. The school was recently recognised as the Best Overall Performing Primary School in the Frances Baard District, an achievement to be proud of.
The Kimberley-based institution received top honours for its performance across multiple academic categories during a recent awards ceremony held by the district's Department of Education.
In addition to being ranked as the number one academic school in the district, Eureka Primary also walked away with several other accolades:
These results reflect the school's continued commitment to academic excellence across all learning phases.
Speaking about the achievement, Principal Etienne Venter expressed immense pride in the staff and learners at Eureka Primary. “This is something our school can truly be proud of. It shows that we have the right teachers in place,” Venter said. “I just want to thank each and every teacher who contributed to this success. It shows that their focus is on the learners. Without our teachers, this would not be possible, and it just shows the passion that goes into teaching our learners here at Eureka Primary School.”
The awards recognise not only academic results but also the overall development of learners through structured learning and language support. Eureka Primary’s performance in English and Mathematics – subjects that are often national benchmarks for educational success – signals the school’s strong curriculum delivery and learner support systems.
Parents and community members have also shared in the celebrations, with many praising the school's culture of excellence and discipline.
As the top-performing school in the district, Eureka Primary is now setting an example for other institutions in the region, and Principal Venter says the work is far from over. “This is just the beginning. Our goal is to keep pushing the standard even higher.”
With passionate educators and a strong academic foundation, Eureka Primary School continues to shine as a beacon of educational excellence in the Northern Cape.
