KIMBERLEY Detectives are investigating a case of housebreaking after a family was held up by armed robbers in Belgravia, Kimberley.
Neighbours said that the suspects, who had apparently targeted the wrong house, had poisoned the owner’s dogs.
Police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers confirmed that the incident took place on January 13 at around 4am.
“It is alleged that four unknown armed suspects gained entry to the home and tied up the family. They then fled the scene. No serious injuries were reported,” said Ehlers.
She added that no arrests have been made yet.
“The investigation continues.”
