Argentina soccer superstar Diego Maradona has died of a heart attack, his attorney said on Wednesday.
Earlier this month Maradona, 60, had emergency surgery for a subdural haematoma, a blood clot on the brain. He was later released from hospital and taken to a recovery clinic where he could be treated for alcohol dependency, his doctor told reporters.
The only man to single handedly win a World Cup by himself.

Greatest World Cup goal ever.
Hand of God.
Absolutely barking, but that's what made him a true footballing genius in every way.

Maradona was kept in hospital for longer than expected due to withdrawal symptoms caused by his sudden abstention from alcohol.
That hospital stay was the latest in a string of health scares for the charismatic and controversial Maradona who won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986 and is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time.
