TWO SUSPECTS, aged 37 and 51, are set to appear in the De Aar Magistrate's Court after being arrested for possession of dagga on Sunday.
The arrests followed an intelligence-driven operation by police, who received a tip-off about a vehicle transporting drugs from Phillipstown to De Aar.
Acting on the information, police intercepted the vehicle on the R48 road, where they discovered a black travelling bag containing several sealed packets of dagga in the car's boot.
The suspects were arrested, and the dagga, with an estimated street value of R11,400, was confiscated along with the vehicle.
Police in the Pixley Ka Seme District vowed to continue efforts to combat drug-related crimes in the area.
The vehicle was confiscated during the drug bust.
