Health Intact Day at Hospital@Ekhaya assists 96 community members

Hospital@Ekhaya’s Second Annual Health Intact Day assisted 96 people, including children, with free medical services, while SANBS collected 15 units of blood, highlighting strong community support and the importance of accessible preventive healthcare initiatives. THE Second Annual Health Intact Day at Hospital@Ekhaya successfully concluded on Saturday, 7 February 2026, providing free medical services to dozens of community members in Kimberley.

The full-day outreach saw 96 people, including children, assisted through various health services and screenings. Community members made use of basic medical checks and received guidance from healthcare professionals in a supportive and welcoming environment focused on preventive care.

In addition to the medical assistance provided, the South African National Blood Service was also present on the day and collected 15 units of blood. The donation drive added further value to the event, contributing to regional blood supply needs while encouraging a culture of giving within the community.

The Health Intact Day once again highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare initiatives and strong collaboration between healthcare providers and the local community. Hospital@Ekhaya reaffirmed its commitment to community-centred healthcare through the successful hosting of the event, which aimed to improve awareness, early detection, and overall well-being.
