THE SOUTH African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has released the grant payment schedule for February 2026, with payments set to be made over three consecutive days.

Here's the payment schedule:

  • Older Persons Grant: Tuesday, February 3, 2026
  • Disability Grant: Wednesday, February 4, 2026
  • Children’s Grants and all other grants: Thursday, February 5, 2026

If you're a beneficiary looking to change your payment method or banking details, SASSA has outlined the steps to follow:

  • Bring a valid South African ID and proof of account (or a three-month bank statement for an old account)
  • Visit your nearest Sassa Local Office
  • Complete a consent form to process the change request

To avoid payment delays, Sassa recommends submitting change requests before the 19th of every month.

Useful tips to remember:

  • If a payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, Sassa moves it to the next business day.
  • Make sure your bank details are correct and active.
  • If you have not received payment within two to three business days of your expected date, call 0800 60 10 11 or visit your nearest Sassa office.
  • Avoid long queues by collecting after the official date; your funds will still be available.

Follow the official process to ensure your grant is paid into the correct account.
