TWO pupils and the driver of a school bus were seriously injured when the vehicle overturned near Kommagas on January 19.

SAPS Namakwa spokesperson Captain Ivan Magerman said the bus was transporting pupils from Soebatsfontein to the Kommagas Primary School when it was involved in an accident close to Kommagas.

"The bus driver allegedly lost control of the bus close to Kommagas, causing it to overturn."

Magerman said the police had registered a case of reckless and negligent driving for investigation.

"The injured passengers were transported to Springbok to a medical facility to receive treatment for minor injuries."

He requested anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Edwin Cloete, on 0824486642 or contact the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or via the MySaps App.

"All information will be treated confidentially," Magermann added.
