Acting on a tip-off, officers spotted a vehicle suspected of transporting dagga and making deliveries on January 19. During a search of the vehicle, they found 15 black plastic bags of dagga and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Three suspects, aged between 20 and 25, were arrested for possession of dagga.

The dagga seized has an estimated street value of R135,000, and the vehicle allegedly used in the commission of the crime was also confiscated.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property, linked to a case reported on December 25.

All the suspects are expected to appear in the Mothibistad Magistrate’s Court soon.

Brigadier Kenneth Baloyi, acting district commissioner of John Taolo Gaetsewe, praised the officers for their commitment to fighting crime and removing drugs from the streets.
