THE Batlharos SAPS unit is urging residents to come forward with any information that could lead to the safe return of 77‑year‑old Ontlametse Matsime, who vanished on Friday, 9 January 2026.
Matsime was last seen in the early afternoon when he paid a brief visit to a neighbour in Gasehunelo, a suburb of Kuruman, and failed to return home. He was dressed in a navy‑blue T‑shirt, grey long‑pants and black “swagger” sneakers.
Detective Constable Mogorosi Setlhauno is leading the investigation and can be reached at 060 496 9665 or 053 712 9960. Members of the public may also submit tips via the MySAPS App or the national Crime Stop line at 08600 10111.
Authorities stress that there is no mandatory waiting period before a missing‑person report can be filed, and they encourage anyone with even the smallest detail to contact the police immediately.
The community’s assistance is crucial in bringing Matsime home safely.
