THE KAGISHO police are urgently appealing for information after 33‑year‑old Lerato Moeti vanished on December 4, taking her two minor children with her.
Moeti was last seen leaving her home on Welcome Moeti Street in the Kutlwanong (Club 2000) area. She told her partner she was heading to town with her five‑year‑old daughter and three‑year‑old son. A family member later spotted the trio boarding a taxi bound for Bloemfontein.
Detectives describe Moeti as wearing a brown fluffy bomber jacket, black silky tracksuit pants with white side stripes, and brown high‑top sneakers. She also had on large round earrings, a dark‑brown necklace, multi‑coloured beaded bracelets on both arms and legs, and a noticeable scar on her left ear.
Detective Constable Lesego Maselesele said, “We are asking anyone who saw Lerato or the children, or who has any details about the taxi or their whereabouts, to come forward immediately.”
Anyone with information can contact Detective Constable Maselesele at 062 407 4090 or 053 871 1174, or use the MySAPS app or dial the Crime Stop line 08600 10111.
The police stress that there is no waiting period to report a missing person and urge the community to assist in bringing Moeti and her children home safely.
