SAPS seek public assistance to identify deceased man discovered near Hartswater

Hartswater police are appealing for public assistance to identify an unknown man found deceased along the N18 between Hartswater and Magogong. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

THE SOUTH African Police Service in Hartswater are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an unknown deceased man.

On Friday, January 2, SAPS members were conducting routine patrols along the N18 road between Hartswater and Magogong when they came across the body of a man found hanging from a tree.

The deceased has not yet been identified. He is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old and was wearing black jeans, a black belt, brown boots, a red and white Bayern Munich T-shirt and a floral hat at the time he was found.

Police are urging anyone who may recognise the description or who can assist in identifying the deceased to contact Detective Constable Ompabaletse Matonyane on 083 244 2709. Information can also be provided via the MySAPS App or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
