SAPS issues urgent appeal as search continues for missing Kakamas woman

THE SOUTH African Police Service (SAPS) in Kakamas has issued a public appeal for assistance in finding 40-year-old Icherene Savada Sussana Windstaan, who has been missing since earlier this week.

SAPS has launched a search operation and is working with local community groups to locate Windstaan. 

Captain Gabriel Matthys, the investigating officer, said that she was last seen wearing light‑blue jeans, a white shirt and white shoes and is believed to be in the vicinity of Upington.

“We are urging anyone who saw Windstaan or has any information about her whereabouts to contact me on 076 021 4734 or 082 447 190. "

The police also reminded the public that there is no waiting period required to report a missing person.

The SAPS spokesperson for the ZF Mgcawu District, Sergeant Omphile Masegela, added that all tips will be treated confidentially and can be forwarded to 079 5282 901 or 054 332 8079.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward as quickly as possible.

Icherene Savada Sussana Windstaan is believed to be in the vicinity of Upington.
