THE Kimberley Harriers are excited to announce that their regular Tuesday evening time trial on 9 December will be transformed into something far more meaningful: the Santa Time Trial, a festive run and walk dedicated to bringing Christmas cheer to the bravest little heroes in our community.
Instead of finishing at the clubhouse as usual, participants will run or walk directly to the Children’s Cancer and Surgical Wards at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital, where they will personally deliver toys, treats, and plenty of smiles to the young patients spending the festive season in the hospital.
This is more than just a time trial; it’s a moment of giving, a moment of hope, and a moment to remind these incredible children (and their families) that they are not forgotten.
Everyone is welcome: members, non-members, runners, walkers, families, and friends.
Simply bring along a new toy, a packet of sweets, or any small treat suitable for children of all ages. No gift is too small when it comes from the heart.
“Let’s fill our hands with gifts and our hearts with joy as we run to make this December a little brighter for our little warriors,” says the Kimberley Harriers committee.
Come dressed in your festive best: Santa hats, elf ears, Christmas T-shirts, or anything that spreads the holiday spirit. The more colour and cheer, the better!
Together, we can turn an ordinary Tuesday run into an extraordinary act of kindness.
Join Kimberley Harriers on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at 17:30 for the Santa Time Trial, a joyful run/walk from Voortrekker Street to deliver toys and treats to the brave children in Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital’s cancer and surgical wards.
