The Kimberley police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who was fatally hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident on the R31 road between Phutanang and Platfontein on October 29, 2025.

The Kimberley Serious and Violent Crimes Unit is appealing to the public for assistance in solving a hit-and-run case that resulted in the death of an unidentified woman. The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at approximately 7.45pm, on the R31 road between Phutanang and Platfontein.
The victim, estimated to be in her late thirties, was wearing black short tights and a white/cream top when she was fatally hit by a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene. The police are investigating the incident and are eager to gather more information.
The police are urging anyone who is missing a relative and has not yet reported them missing to contact the police or make a report to the nearest police station as soon as possible.
Remember, there is no waiting period to report a person as missing.
