The ZFM District police have made significant strides in their mission to remove drugs from the streets, arresting two suspects in separate incidents during Operation Shanela activities between October 30 and November 3.

In one incident, a 41-year-old man was arrested after police discovered hydroponic dagga with an estimated street value of R360,000 at his premises. The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.

In another incident, a man was arrested in Keimoes for possession of mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R20,000 during routine patrols.

District Commissioner Major General Sebili has deployed members to conduct duties that will yield expected results, applying a no-tolerance approach to create a detour for criminality in the district.
