Missing Northern Cape children found and reunited with their families

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Northern Cape has successfully reunited two sets of missing children with their families.

In the first incident, Kathu SAPS reunited 12-year-old Kago Moipolai with his family on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Kago had gone missing on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and was reported to SAPS the following day. The swift response by Kathu SAPS, with the assistance of community members, led to Kago's successful tracing and reunion with his family.

In a separate incident, Danielskuil Police reunited two missing cousins, 13-year-old Angelique Kelebogile Malgas and 14-year-old Cathrihanna Dorika Moeng, with their families in Danielskuil. The girls, who reside in Maranteng informal settlement in Danielskuil, were reported missing on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, although they had reportedly gone missing on Saturday, October 18, 2025. They were found unharmed in Vryburg on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

The SAPS encourages community members to report a person missing as soon as possible. "There is no waiting period to report a person as missing," emphasised the police. Families and loved ones can report missing persons to their nearest police station or call SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPS App.
