AFTER 24 years of dedicated service, Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock has bid farewell to the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Northern Cape.
Kock, who has been the face of SAPS in the region, is transitioning into full-time ministry at TD Church in Kimberley. This new chapter allows him to merge his passion for serving humanity with his faith, making a meaningful impact in the community.
Kock expressed his gratitude for the experiences and lessons learned during his time in law enforcement. "I'm thankful for the lessons learned, the triumphs celebrated, and the challenges overcome during my time in law enforcement," he said.
These experiences will undoubtedly enrich his ministry, enabling him to serve with empathy, wisdom, compassion, and the love of Christ.
As Kock embarks on this new journey, he looks forward to working closely with the church community, schools, and organisations to bring hope, healing, and support to those in need. He aims to be a vessel of God's love and grace, inspiring others to experience the love of Jesus Christ and make a positive change in their world.
Lieutenant-General Koliswa Otola, the Northern Cape provincial commissioner, and her provincial SAPS management team have wished Kock success on his new journey. They deeply appreciate the dedication, positivity, professionalism, and meaningful contributions he has made in strengthening the image of SAPS.
As Kock swaps his camera and pen for a life of ministry, he remains committed to staying connected with the community he has served for so long. "May God bless our community, and may His love guide us all," he said, quoting Ephesians 3:19-20.
