The Tsoga Mocha (wake up youth) Movement will hold a Heritage Day lunch in April Park behind the RC Elliot hall on Saturday, 4 October 2025.

Chairperson of Tsogo Mocha, Thabiso Louw, said he wanted to bring something positive to the area as the park had attracted the wrong elements.

"The park is used for wrong things - it has become a hotspot for drug and alcohol abuse. We want to show the community how the park should be used for recreational purposes - where families can relax and have picnics. We want to bring change and to recruit youths away from crime and drugs."

He added that everyone was welcome to attend.

"There will be a range of activities, dance and delicious African cuisine," Louw stated.

The event was initially scheduled for September 27 but was postponed due to the rain.

The Tsogo Mocha movement will hold a fun day at April Park on Saturday, 4 October 2025.
