Nineteen pupils injured in taxi collision with police vehicle in Kagisho

The Kagisho SAPS are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after 19 pupils were injured, as they were travelling to school on Monday morning.

SAPS Northern Cape spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock said the incident took place on August 25 at about 6.10 am at the Phomolong and John Daka four-way intersection.

"A  police vehicle and a taxi transporting 19 scholars, aged between 5 and 13 years old, reportedly collided. All the passengers were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The investigation continues," he stated.
