Found: Missing 22-year-old located in Kimberley

A missing person case that had sparked concern in Kimberley has been resolved, thanks to the swift action of the Kimberley SAPS.

Twenty-two-year-old Karabo Vilakazi, who was reported missing by her mother on July 17, 2025, has been found safe and sound at a friend's house in Greenpoint, Kimberley.

According to police, Karabo was located on July 23, 2025, at approximately 11am, after officers followed up on leads. During an interview with the police, Karabo indicated that she was safe at the place where she was residing.

The investigation is ongoing, and Detective Sgt Moagi Mokatsane is leading the case. Anyone with information can contact him directly on 082 302 0407.
