A 35-year-old man was arrested by members of the Springbok Public Order Police unit on Monday, July 21, 2025, for allegedly dealing in cannabis. He was stopped in front of a retail store on Springbok's main road after police acted on a tip-off from an informant.

Upon searching the parcel in the suspect's possession, the police found cannabis with an estimated street value of R66,300. The suspect is facing charges of dealing in cannabis and is expected to appear in the Springbok court soon.

The District Commissioner, Brigadier Schalk Andrews, praised the Springbok POPS unit for their relentless efforts in eradicating drugs from the community.
