Suspected drug dealers nabbed in Postmasburg bust

Two suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs in Postmasburg.

THE ZF Mgcawu District Task Team's intelligence-driven operation in Postmasburg has yielded significant results, with the arrest of two suspects, aged 30 and 36, for dealing in drugs. 

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, police raided a residence in Newtown, confiscating Tik and Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R6,411.

The successful operation is a testament to the team's dedication to combating crime in the area. The suspects are expected to appear in court soon, facing charges related to drug dealing.

Major General Monica Sebili, District Commissioner of ZFM, praised the team's efforts and urged the community to collaborate with SAPS by providing valuable information. This partnership is crucial in dismantling the drug trade, which is often linked to violent crimes in the Postmasburg area.

By working together, the police and the community can create a safer environment and reduce the prevalence of drug-related crimes.
