THIRTEEN-year-old Mishka Boughan, South Africa’s rising pageant star and reigning Miss Pre-Teen Model World, took off from Kimberley Airport on Sunday morning en route to O.R. Tambo International this week as she begins her journey back to the Dominican Republic, not as a competitor this time, but as a guest of honour.
Having first stepped onto the runway at just four years old, Mishka has grown into a powerhouse in the modelling world, proudly carrying the hopes of her Kimberley community and country.
As she prepares to hand over her international crown, Mishka will also open the prestigious 2025 Mini Model World event with a special performance of Melody by Esa Diva, one of the Dominican Republic’s most beloved Spanish artists, a moment she describes as an honour and a highlight of her young career.
With a long list of provincial and national titles already under her belt, Mishka is nowhere near slowing down. Her next goal? To one day bring home the Miss World or Miss Universe crown for South Africa.
“I want to make my country proud,” Mishka says confidently. “This is only the beginning.”
Mishka's return to the Dominican Republic not only marks the end of her reign but also the beginning of her next chapter, one filled with promise, poise, and the power of a dream nurtured since childhood.
