Kimberley shutdown: Water relief to resume at 6am after overnight pause

THE SOL Plaatje Municipality has confirmed that emergency water relief operations in Kimberley will resume at 6am on Monday, following a pause at 8pm on Sunday, as the planned shutdown enters Day 4.

The municipality’s Communications Unit said JoJo tanks placed at strategic sites will be refilled from early morning, with roving water tankers also back on the road from 6am to assist affected residents.

The local authority has also urged residents to help protect the JoJo tanks from vandalism and theft and to report any concerns or supply issues by calling the municipal Call Centre at 080 122 9010 or contacting their local ward councillor.
