THE SOL Plaatje Municipality says its emergency water relief operations are in full swing, with JoJo tanks being refilled and roving water trucks continuing into the evening to assist residents during the planned five-day shutdown.
Photos from day two of the shutdown show water being delivered to strategic sites, while mobile tankers make scheduled stops across various neighbourhoods to ensure residents have a chance to fill containers.
The municipality has urged residents to help safeguard the JoJo tanks from vandalism and theft, reminding the public that these resources are essential for community-wide access.
For any water-related enquiries, residents are encouraged to contact the municipal Call Centre at 080 122 9010 or reach out to their local ward councillor.
See pictures from the ground below and follow the DFA for updates on the ongoing shutdown.
