AS KIMBERLEY continues to face an extended water outage, the Sol Plaatje Municipality says it has ramped up relief efforts and ensured that vulnerable groups are not left behind.
In a new video shared by the municipality's Communications Unit, elderly residents at the Ons Huis Home for Older Persons in Beaconsfield expressed gratitude for the regular JoJo tank water deliveries arranged as part of the city's emergency response plan.
The municipality has pledged to prioritise homes for older persons, clinics, and other key community centres, ensuring tanks are kept filled and accessible throughout the shutdown.
The local authority has also encouraged residents who have water supply concerns or enquiries to call the municipal Call-Centre on 080 122 9010 or contact their local ward councillor.
