THE NAMAKWA District Commissioner has confirmed that Manrico Strauss, who was reported missing earlier this month, has been found safe and reunited with his family.

Strauss disappeared on 9 May 2025 in Nababeep, sparking concern among his loved ones and the local community. Thanks to coordinated efforts between the Nababeep and Sea Point SAPS, he was located in Cape Town and brought back to Nababeep on 27 May 2025.

Brigadier Schalk Andrews, District Commissioner of Namakwa, commended both police stations and the public for their role in helping trace Strauss.

"This positive outcome highlights the commitment of our police officers and the importance of community partnerships in ensuring safety and justice," said Brigadier Andrews.

The SAPS has thanked everyone involved for their support during the search.
